I think I’ve used enough free printables from Pinterest (thanks, strangers!) that it’s time I give back to printable-land. I made some printables for the Love is Brewing wedding that I recently decorated, so I will share them with you!

*I print everything up to 8 x 10 inches on white cardstock; anything larger is done as a poster through London Drugs*

First and foremost, here’s the (free) chalkboard background I use for E V E R Y T H I N G that I make with a chalkboard background (which is like, a lot) because it’s high quality, realistic looking, and in my opinion, lovely as far as chalkboards go:

Use it at 8 x 10 inches (or smaller) for best results, but I’ve used it as large as 24 x 36 inches, and it’s still looked fantastic!

The fonts we used for the wedding decor were Champagne & Limousines (free from DaFont for personal use), which the bride and groom chose for the custom vinyl labels on the growlers, and Dandeleón (free from DaFont for personal use), which I came across last summer while making sashes for another wedding, and have tried to incorporate into as many projects as possible since (yes, including my blog signature don’t @ me). I like the contrast between the two fonts; they work really well together, and give a nice balance of whimsy and nonchalance – perfect for a fun, chill couple!

The first is the Bar Menu; obviously unless you haven’t already ordered your bar drinks, this isn’t particularly helpful to you. I’ll make a how-to for making chalkboard signs if you’re curious, though, so stay tuned! (Also lol @ “red, white” – bride and groom forgot which brand of wine they picked). I hung the Bar Menu beside the bar in a 12 x 18 white Ribba picture frame from IKEA; I utilize my vast frame collection at parties and other events. I especially love the contrast of the black background with the white font and frame.

Next up: a cute little printable for the gift table! The gift table set-up (I forgot to take a photo, whoops) was super cute – I hung square photos of the couple on these photo clips (but in white – I could only find the multicolour clips online). I put the printable in a “frameless” (idk how else to describe them – I’m sorry) frame from IKEA that apparently no longer exists. I’d alternatively suggest doing a smaller RIBBA or even a FISKBO frame for this to keep the frames relatively cheap (a wood or metallic one would also be GORGEOUS, but are usually pricier!)

Also: I used KG Heart Doodles for the heart ‘underline’ at the bottom. LOVE LOVE LOVE all things KG – I use a ton of their fonts on birthday boards.

The guests are definitely the greatest gift. The second greatest gift? PUNS. I’m a sucker for a good pun, and, thankfully, so are the bride and groom. And, since I’m me (if you don’t know me, then now you do), I had to incorporate as much wordplay as possible. So for the taco bar (yum! Thanks Chipotle!), I went with a classic by the B-52’s. Again, I used the frameless IKEA frames that have since disappeared from IKEA forever (we bought them at least two years ago).

OK, so this one we didn’t actually use at the wedding, but I made a variation of the one I *did* use if you’re not having an ‘unplugged’ ceremony. Just use an editing tool to pop your own hashtag in, and voila! Also, I didn’t add a Snapchat symbol because #, even though I did make Snapchat filters. Check one of ’em out here.

The “unplugged” version of the previous pic – I put this in an 8 x 10 white RIBBA frame on the signing table, and it seemed to work well; I didn’t see anyone taking photos from my place in the corner (am I a wedding troll? Yikes.)

OK, so I got this idea from Pinterest (again, thank you, strangers): a ‘tip jar’ for a beer-themed wedding – perfect! Guests could leave their “tips” (advice) for the newlyweds and/or sign the growler guest ‘book.’ I got a 1 gallon jar from Michaels (you’re shocked, I just know it). These are formatted to print on letter-sized cardstock on both sides (flip on long edge).

Lastly, the labels for the tip jar – I did one on the front, and one on the back of the jar, but that’s totally not necessary. I also used silver washi tape to frame the labels, and tied raffia around the neck of the jar so that it matched the other glass decor.

So, I guess I’ve finally made my contribution back to the free section of the interwebs (juuuuuuuuust kidding; in the words of good ol’ Arnie, I’ll be back).

 

In conclusion: IKEA is the second best place on Earth, and Michaels is a close third (Disneyland is the first, duh). Also, I’m a terrible Canadian because I put the frame sizes in inches and honestly DON’T KNOW THEM in cm. Yes, I’m ashamed, and no, I will not learn them.
