I’ve never been to Glow Christmas Langley before, so I didn’t really know what to expect when I heard that they were launching a Harvest version, but what expectations I did have were completely blown out of the water (out of the pumpkin patch?).

Glow Harvest Langley is an incredible compilation of all of the best things about fall, but INSIDE. It’s a perfect event for our unpredictable temperate rainforest weather! Opening night was September 27th, and I’ve already been twice since. On opening night, I went with my ghoul Vanessa (check her out on IG at @vanessafromvancouver) to take photos of the event sans kids; OK, we also got some cute portraits — who could resist with all that perfect lighting?! Travis and I took the kids again on Saturday so that William could check it out before we leave to spend half of the month on our family vacation, including a trip to Disneyland (#firstworldproblems).

So, having gone both with adults only and as a family, I can wholeheartedly say it’s a really gourd event for any outing, whether you’re planning to do something for a family activity or you’re glowing on a date night.

Glow is located at Milner Village Garden Centre just off Highway 10 (and like five minutes from Highway 1), so it’s pretty easy to get to regardless of what part of the Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley you live in.

The only thing outside are the food trucks, which greet you right as you walk in. There are SO MANY delicious food options, including poutine (my fave), pumpkin spice mini donuts, and deep fried Oreos! There’s also more food inside, too, as well as coffee for my fellow peeps suffering from permanent exhaustion.

Pumpkin patch ($5 per pumpkin if you are wanting to take some home) with a pumpkin carriage photo op

Three playgrounds for 3-12 year olds (and their parents/guardians)

Petting zoo with pigs, goats, and bunnies! (so, true story: I saw black and white and thought these were miniature Holsteins. They are, in fact, goats. I don’t feel that bad about it because William thought the same thing, and he actually has good eyesight, so.) 

Pony rides (donations recommended; we paid $5 for Will to ride)

Mystery Corn maze

There’s also a market with lots of local goodies and clothes, as well as a Glow store that sells a variety of products (I saw cute wooden toys, so I didn’t let myself go in #selfcontrol), and SO much more!

I definitely plan to go again with the kids since it’s such a fun and affordable fall event!
